Fresh For My God

Every year Y.F.C. Davao is conducting an activity so called fresh party. And, every year I`m a part of the service team. This annual activity became a normal routine for me, and the fresh party for me is no longer fresh but a classic activity. I consider so because I already know what would happen or what`s the style of the party.Normally it goes like this. First there will be an opening prayer then followed by a pep talk next is the praise feast or a worship then finally the party. The fresh party doesn`t any more give me the excitement unlike the first time I attended the party.
But this year even though the flow of the program was the same, this activity gave me the excitement. Why? because of hardships I experience, the realizations I gain, the success of the event, and above all my total surrender to my God.
For the past few days before the fresh party I experienced hardships for it was my first time to lead a provincial activity. I always worry about what would happen if I fail, what would happen if there are only few Y.F.C.s that would attend the activity and many more things that clouded my mind. There was one instance that everything was all planned out but there was an immediate change of venue and as a result we have to plan again with few days to go before the activity.
The fresh party became all about the activity, it became how the activity would turn out to be according to our plan. But God has a greater plan than what we have planned. God gave us a cheaper venue so we can spend more for the beautification of the place and rent an excellent lights and sound system.
I then remember that this is not all about the activity, its not all about how the activity would bring us, the service team, appreciation on how we made the activity a success. I experience hardships for God wants me to realize that this is not my activity but HIS activity and I need HIS strength for this can only be done by HIM. I then surrendered to God and commited my self to be used by HIM. As a result everything became new to me everything became fresh and everything became a success. I then learn to make each activity new for me and a place where I can grow spiritually may it be an ordinary service meeting or an extravagant Conference. Likewise, I hope, you to would consider each activity.

dodot | I just wanna honor Eymard for his passion in serving the Lord..I know that you can do the things that sometimes you cant imagine doing it..it is because of your submission to him..whatever the Lord ask of us to do we could do it if we allow him to do work through us.. I am just so proud of you eymard( and the rest of the core group) I know its not easy serving the Lord while studying but I know that you could do those things together for the Lord will be with you. Keep it up mard!
